International Airport "Diagoras"

International Airport "Diagoras" was built in 1977 and is located 15 kilometers west of the city of Rhodes (10 miles) and north of the village of Paradisi. Driving time is approximately 20-25 minutes.

It is the fourth airport in passenger traffic and aircraft to Greece. It is the main airport of the island and it has replaced the military airport, which was operating at Maritsa. The Airport is open daily all year round, 24 hours a day.
The building's facilities reach 60,000 sq.m. Its geographical width: 36th 24 '19' 'North. The geographical length is: 28th 05 '10' 'East. It has:
A passenger terminal, a Fire Station, Eight fire categories, Thirteen Positions for aircraft parking and light aircraft parking

The airport is connected to Rhodes town by taxi and buses. The buses have daily routes at regular intervals and the journey takes about 40 minutes. If you choose taxi they will charge you about 16 euros till the town of Rhodes.
If you rent a car, it is very easy to get to town, from the main road along the coast.
