Lardos is a traditional village, located 51 km from the city center, built in a verdant plain. It's very close to Lindos area, from where access is very easy.
Landmark is the tree-lined at central square, where there is a source of natural water, which is powered by running water from a nearby source. Essentially it is a meeting point for locals and beyond. All around there are all the amenities, since it is a modern tourist destination. In a short distance from the village is worth visiting the walls and towers of the Byzantine castle of Lardos.
Outstanding importance for the region is the nunnery of Panagia Ipseni, which is hidden in the woods, going through its own history and route.
In the area there are also many interesting archaeological finds, such as the ancient open-air mine of black and red stone.
