Psinthos is a small traditional Greek village, located 25 km away from the center of Rhodes. Psinthos is a popular destination, especially for locals. Its Characteristic features of the village is the Monastery of the Holy Trinity and PArmeni, trees and running water os the Fasouli source.
Psinthos is famous as the site of the last battle between the Turkish and the Italians (16th May 1912), where the first had suffered severe losses.
In the main square stands the church, dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Near the village is the Valley of Butterflies, which has several endemic species of flora and fauna
